A butterfly valve is a valve that controls the flow rate or pressure of fluids in a pipe. This is called a "butterfly" valve due to its shape. The cylindrical main body consists of a simple structure in which a circular valve (disk) with the same diameter as the pipe can be rotated. The flow rate or pressure is adjusted by changing the angle of this disk. A feature of this product is the high flow rate adjustment functionality at an intermediate opening angle and the low resistance when the valve is fully open, which makes it easy for fluids to flow and results in low-pressure loss. Also, opening or closing is easy with a 90° turning operation, resulting in excellent operability.
